In late April we headed to Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria, Oregon, with Mike's sibs and their spouses.
The trip wasn't without it's down sides (a disengaged trailer towed to a Portland-area RV hospital, a bout of the flu, and a cracked rib) but had it's grand up sides, too: uncharacteristically great spring beach weather, lovely campsites, beach time, hikes, bikes, the Fort Stevens Historical Site, our beloved little trailer, great food, and fantastic company.
Just before arriving at the campground, a young elk
The 3 tiny houses: Amy & Dale's Winnebago Micro Minnie, our Sol Horizon, and Mark & Marla's R-Pod
We ate well. 😊 A few examples: our Belizean stew chicken with rice and beans and coleslaw
Eric and Kathy's risotto cakes
Steel-cut oatmeal with goodies and Kathy's huckleberry bran muffins
Marla and Amy's eggs and veggies, hashbrowns, bacon, and Mark's homemade bread toast
Dinner out at the Astoria Brewery
There was another Sol in the campground!

You know you're on the Oregon coast when you see these bathroom signs.
On the way out of town we stopped at Buoy 9 for take out halibut fish and chips - a worthy end to a memorable camping trip.
HAPPY TRAILS!
